Community Young Adults is a group of 18-25 year old young adults from Community Lutheran Church in Escondido, CA.  We gather to learn more through God's Word, to grow in faith, to serve the surrounding community, and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Biblical Financial Bible Study for College Students – 11/2 – 1/11

365 Days Through the Bible -  11/18

After the Biblical Financial Study, the young adult group will be joining the rest of the congregation on a journey through the entire Bible.  We will join them for the lecture part of the class, then break off into our own young adult small group.  We will be using special Bibles that break the Bible up into simple reading sections.  Please purchase the Bibles by December 8th through the church office.  Bring in $15 (check or cash) along with your name, phone number, and address.

Young Men’s Small Group

The Young Men’s Small Group will be meeting on Sundays starting October 5th from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Beyer apartment in October and culminating the series Coming of Age: Exploring the Identity and Spirituality of Younger Men with a camping retreat at Dixon Lake in November.  Free of cost.

Movie Night - 12/14

Be there for our first movie night, a small group meeting where you can bring your friends!  On the second Sunday of each month, we'll replace our usual small group time with a movie and discussion on faith and values.  Here's a good opportunity to reach out to someone you know who might not feel comfortable coming to a study group.

Operation Christmas Child Experience

Thank you to those from our congregation who donated boxes and items for us to donate at the warehouse.  After training, we sorted boxes by age, collected donations that were given with boxes, and inspected boxes before they were shipped.  It was so good to know that needy children around the world would be getting millions of boxes this year!  We stood next to a girl in an inspection line who was born in Russia.  She lived in an orphanage there where she received an Operation Christmas Child box at the age of 4.  She was so hungry she ate the chapstick!  But she can still remember everything inside that box because it meant so much to her.  She even said the boxes prevented teenagers from committing suicide because they felt like someone cared about them.  Finally, she was adopted into the U.S. where she now helps with OCC at age 17.  God works in amazing ways!
