holiday care packages for our soldiers

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the holiday care packages for our soldiers!  My initial goal was five to ten care packages.  Our church then stepped in with a goal of fifty care packages.  We were blessed beyond belief, and as Pastor said on Sunday, we didn’t dream big enough.  Here is a list of the care packages sent:

-         208 individual food care packages                        - 1 priority mail box of snack items

-         2 large boxes of toiletry items                                - 2 priority mail boxes of toiletry items

-         3 priority mail boxes of cards and games             - 8 priority mail boxes of books

-         6 large boxes of monopoly games                        - 1 stereo

-         7 priority mail boxes of school supplies

None of this could have been possible without the generosity of so many people.  I have no doubt that our soldiers will be pleased and excited to receive the care packages and know that so many people across this world support them.  Donations came from far and wide, whether it was financial to cover the shipping expenses or the donation of items for the care packages.
