  • ENGAGE - Led by Pastor Tom Meyer and Vicar Joel Beyer

Engage in the hearts and minds of God's people through Gospel based narratives on contemporary issues. Jesus told teaching stories, or parables, about people and things familiar to His disciples. He did so to reveal deep, spiritual insights about Him. This DVD-based study series connects contemporary life with biblical themes such as love, uncertainty, and loneliness.

New Class to begin Sunday, Feb. 26

  • Walther - Led by Pastor Vogelsang in Keturakat Hall

Prepare to visit the early Lutheran Church in America, circa 1840. Prepare to meet this early hero of the church: Dr. C. F. W. Walther – a man who sacrificed his homeland, his health and nearly his life…For the freedom to speak freely, to believe freely, to live freely… For his Church and the Faith for those he loved… AND for us who would come after.

  • Courageous - Led by Jim Meyer in the Ministry Building

Based on the very popular move, Courageous, this Bible study will challenge all families to live courageous as families of God.  Throughout our time together, we will discuss how to fight for your family, values for the family, impacting future generations and standing up for Christ.  This will be a 4 week class that will begin on Sunday, Feb. 12, 

  • Running the Rapids - Led by Dan and Jackie Huhn in the Ministry Building

Ever been white-water rafting? That sudden rush of adrenaline, exhilaration, and white-knuckle terror and that overwhelming sense of foreboding that leaves you gasping for breath and hoping against all hope you'll live to see another day? If so, then you know the thrill, the terror, the risks, and, yes, the rewards of raising adolescents! So strap on your life preserver and join Dr. Kevin Leman as he guides you through the turbulent waters of adolescence. Peer pressure, self-image, dating, sex—Leman covers them all in his trademark “no-holds-barred” style that will bring a smile to the faces and hope to the hearts of even the most beleaguered parents.  This class will be facilitated by Dan and Jackie Huhn and last 6 weeks.

  • The Book of John - Taught by Judy Shaw in the Conference Room

 This class is for women and will dive into the Gospel of John.  This class will last until Palm Sunday.

  • Career Development - Led by Paul Trzinski and Ed Gustine - Pastor's Office

Are you unemployed?  Are you changing Careers? Are you considering reentering the job market? Are you an employer looking to hire? Is your company hiring and are you looking for their referral bonus? If the answer is yes to any of these please join us. We will be discussing job search ideas, methods and providing support to those of us in this process.

Wednesday Evening Marriage Class: 5:30-7:00 p.m.

  • Boundaries in Marriage

This 8 week class is designed to help husbands and wives move beyond the friction points and serious hurts in their marriages to build a stronger, more loving and intimate relationship.  This class begins on Wednesday, Feb. 8th in the Church Library from 5:30-7:00 p.m. and led by Katy Sensmeier a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  Click here to be taken to the Registration Page.

  • Young Adult Bible Study, Sunday nights at 7:00 PM at Old California Coffee Shop in San Marcos - Led by Kristen Beyer for Young Adults 
  • Men's Bible Study, Saturday mornings at 7:02 AM in the Library at Community Lutheran Church - Led by Paul Trzinski 
  • Moms at Community (MACs), First and Third Tuesdays of the month from 6:00 - 8:00 PM in the Conference Room at Community Lutheran Church or Second and Fourth Tuesdays of the month from 9:00 - 11:00 AM in the Library at Community Lutheran Church 
  • Women's Bible Study, Wednesdays at 10:00 AM in the Ministries Building at Communty Lutheran Church - Taught by Pastor Vogelsang 
  • Men's Bible Study, Wednesdays at 6:00 AM in the Ministries Building at Community Lutheran Church - Taught by Pastor Vogelsang and includes breakfast 
  • LifeLight: Ministry, Wednesdays from 12:30 - 2:15 PM at the Pennington's Home - Led by Arden Pennington
