WHAT
IS A PRAYER QUILT?
Have
you ever known someone, close friend, co-worker or family
member, who needed extra prayer? Maybe
it was for an illness or a struggle with grief. You may have
even asked other people to pray for you friend. This is when you
can turn to the Prayer Quilt Ministry.
Prayer
Quilts are small quilts made by our "Peacemakers"
quilt group. Each quilt is made to be tied, while saying a
prayer, by Church members and friend. When someone receives a
Prayer Quilt, they are literally
able to wrap themselves in prayers.
"How
do I request or sponsor a quilt?" you ask. It's simple.
First ask the recipient if they are willing to be the focus of
prayer and would like a quilt. Then contact a member of the
Peacemakers or the Church office for a contact number. There is NO
cost. Remember it's all about the prayer that is tied into the
quilt and
not the quilt itself.
