Children's Choir
Children age four through fifth grade are welcome. Rehearsal time is on Wednesday afternoons at 4:30 PM from the end of August through May. The choir sings twice per month in church services and sings at special concerts at Christmas and the end of the year. We also celebrate Christmas with our songs at Redwood Town Court. This choir is directed by Christine Vogelsang.
Teen Girls Ensemble
The Community Lutheran Teen Girls vocal ensemble is for girls in Junior High and High school. We meet every Thursday from 5:30 to 7:00 PM in the church library. Practices start on Thursday, September 1st. This choir is directed by Sabine Spencer.
Adult Choir
This group is open to adults and confirmed youth. It meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM from late August through the end of May. The choir provides Sunday morning anthems twice per month. It also sings at the Christmas and Spring Concerts and for other special services. This choir is directed by Christine Vogelsang.
Praise Band
Community Lutheran's San Marcos campus includes a praise band in each 10:00 AM worship service. We are currently looking for a pianist, violinist or cellist, and drummer. We can use all talents! Practices are Thursday evenings and are led by James Calkins.
Community Lutheran's Escondido campus has a praise band that leads the congregation on the first and third Sundays of the month during the 10:00 AM service. It is comprised of high school youth and adults who sing and play a variety of instruments. The band practices on the first and third Saturday mornings of the month at 10:00 AM. This group is open to new participants and is directed by Vicar Joel Beyer.
Solo and Small Group Opportunities
We often have soloists and small groups, such as quartets sing in our church services. If you are interested in singing in a small group or as a soloist, contact Joyce Roberts.

"Music is an important part of the ministry of Community Lutheran Church, whether you are an active participant or one who supports us with your enthusiastic appreciation. The goal of our music program is to encourage as many people as possible to be part of our groups. You simply must have a love for music and want to praise our Lord. The ability to read music is not a necessity. Various supports are offered to make everyone feel like they are an accomplished participant. If you want to join in any of our programs, contact the director in charge or just come to a rehearsal and get ready to have a most rewarding musical experience." - Christine Vogelsang
