Preschool Staff

Sharon Boyer - Preschool Director

Sharon is a life-long Lutheran. She grew up in Michigan and Ohio, but has lived in or near Escondido most of her life. She has six wonderful children and five adorable grandchildren! Her teaching career began after graduating from San Diego State University, and she went on to teach all ages preschool through 9^th grade. Sharon has been the Director of Community Lutheran Preschool since August 1995, where she says that the entire staff is dedicated to nurturing the faith of their precious little students.

Aimee Peter - Classroom Teacher

Aimee Peter grew up in Valley Center and now lives in Escondido with her husband of 19 years, her 18 year old son, and 12 year old daughter. From a very young age Aimee knew she wanted to work with young children. She started an in home childcare in 1993 and did that until her daughter turned 2 in 2001. At that time she came to Community Lutheran Preschool, where she has taught all ages. As a Pre K teacher, Aimee now prepares the children for Kindergarten.

Tiana Jaramillo - Classroom Teacher

Tiana is the teacher for the 2-3 year olds. She has worked at the preschool since 1996. Tiana has two daughters, Emily (age 9) and Maya (age 6), who are both graduates of the preschool. The family have been members of Community Lutheran Church since 2002 and are active participants in the drama ministry.

Mary Manriquez - Classroom Teacher/ Motor Lab Teacher

Mary is the preschool opening teacher and classroom aide. Mary was born in Pasadena and later moved to Escondido where she met her husband. They have been married for 42 years and have four children and five grandchildren. In 2002, Mary brought her youngest granddaughter to CLP, and because of the loving atmosphere, she soon joined the staff. Mary feels truly blessed to be a part of such a loving and caring place as Community Lutheran Preschool. She also serves in the church nursery on Sundays.

Joey Taschner - Classroom Aide/ Motor Lab Teacher

Joey is an Escondido native and a member of Community Lutheran Church. She began working at the preschool in 2004 and enjoys planinng and participating in activities for the children. Joey has a cat named Blossom and collects dolphin souveniers. Joey is dedicated to the Lord and following His Word, and she looks forward to the Christian Women's Retreats each year.

Joy Andrews - Classroom Teacher

Joy Andrews started her career path at CLP in January of 1999. She grew up in Escondido most of her childhood and then moved to Sacramento. While living there, she started a family and attended college, where she received her teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education. She moved back to Escondido in 1998 and soon began working for CLP. She has enjoyed working in the field of ECE since 1985 in many different aspects. She has been blessed with two children who are now both in their mid 20's.

Linda Trzinski - Secretary

Linda was born in upstate New York but has lived in Escondido since 1965. She and her husband, Paul, married in 1978 and have two adult children, Amber, born in 1979, and Matthew, in 1981. They joined Community Lutheran Church in 1995, and Linda started working as the Preschool secretary in 1997 after volunteering in the church office with Sarah and Mildred. She loves being a part of the wonderful preschool ministry.
