Hurting?  Would you like to have someone in your life who really cares?

Stephen Ministers Care!

What is Stephen Ministry?

Stephen Ministry is grounded in Jesus’ command to love one another. Through one-to-one caring relationships, those who are hurting receive the love and care they need for support.

  • Is life more than you can handle alone right now?

  • Are you adjusting to a new job, change of marital status, a serious illness, the death of a loved one, or a recent move?

  • Are your health, attitude, or relationships suffering?

  • Would you like to have someone in your life who really cares?

Everyone has gone through difficult times. Having someone who cares, listens, and shares God’s love can help you get through the confusion, stress, or loneliness you may be experiencing.

God is the caregiver.

Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you.                                                              Psalm 55:22

Come to me all that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens and I will give you rest.      Matt. 11:29

Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.                                                             1 Peter 5:7

Stephen Ministry is an interdenominational ministry in which Community Lutheran Church is pleased to participate.

What is a Stephen Minister?

Stephen Ministers are named after St. Stephen. During the early church the apostles decided to choose among their leaders faithful disciples, those who would be sent into the community to minister to the needs of the people. "And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit..                                                                                                                                                                                      Acts 6:5

God called us all to be Caregivers:

Carry each others burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.                                                                       Gal 6:2

Encourage the faint hearted, help the weak, be patient with all of them.                                                                             1 Thes 5:14
